Owen Ryan currently serves as President & CEO of Project Angel Heart in Denver, Colorado. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of the International AIDS Society, the world’s largest professional association of HIV providers. His global health experience includes work in Malawi, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Switzerland. He served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the world’s largest financer of global health programs. He spent many years working in private philanthropy including amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He started his career as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer.
